Dress Code & Conduct

Pleasington Golf Club Dress & General Conduct Rules

In order to maintain the standards within the Club, Members and Visitors are expected to dress moderately and conventionally. The rules below may only be waived at the express wish of Council Representatives.

Among the items of dress that are deemed unacceptable are the following:

On the Golf Course
Blue Denim Jeans, Tracksuits, Collarless Shirts including T-Shirts, Soft Collared Shirts worn outside trousers, Trainers, Shorts (unless tailored - not cargo or beach style) and worn with sports socks of any length (preferably white)

For Ladies Sun Tops. Skirts, shorts and skorts to be tailored and no shorter than mid-thigh. Tailored golf tops may be worn outside trousers.

In the Clubhouse
Blue Denim Jeans, Tracksuits, Collarless Shirts including T-Shirts, Trainers, Caps and Headgear of any form, Waterproof Clothing, any sort of Outdoor Coat, and the absence of Shoes or MenĀ“s Shoes worn without Socks.

The following guidelines apply in the Clubhouse:

In the Dining Room
Smart Casual Dress may be worn up to 8.00 pm each day. Jackets without a tie or ties without a jacket MUST be worn after 8.00 pm and Ladies change out of golf gear after 8.00 pm.

In the Lounges and Snooker Room
Smart Casual Dress may be worn all day throughout the year. Please note that shorts are not permitted in the Antlers Bar except and only when registering for a competition or entering scores into the computer.

Juniors
Smart Casual Dress may be worn all day throughout the year.

Smoking
Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes) is NOT permitted anywhere in the Clubhouse.

Mobile Phones
In order to adopt a sensible approach to mobile phone usage it has been agreed to allow text, email etc. in any part of the Clubhouse but the making and receiving of calls to be restricted to the corridor which houses the Past Captain's Photographs.

Spike Bar
Players dressed for the course may drink in the spike section of the bar.
